FAQ
You can choose from three ways. With formula or expressed milk, you are not woken at all. With direct breastfeeding, we do the burping, diaper change, settling and tidying up, so you are up for a few minutes to around a quarter of an hour.
Yes. At night, watching the baby comes first. We agree beforehand what we will do if the older child wakes up.
If unsure, Standard is fine. The night care is the same in both plans. The difference is the caregiver's experience: in the Specialist plan, a licensed midwife or a nurse licensed in Japan with NICU or similar infant-care experience comes. Neither plan makes medical judgements; we tell you what we notice and leave decisions about seeing a doctor to you and medical professionals.
Yes, as extra time (¥7,000 per hour, tax included, Standard). For example, 19:00–7:00 the next morning is ¥87,000 (tax included, plus travel fee). Two conditions: you stay where you can be back within 20 minutes, and your phone can be reached. We ask for two phone numbers.
Yes, +¥22,000 (tax included) for either plan. As one caregiver comes, we need a set-up for caring for both at once and a separate safe sleeping place for each baby. We check this together at the online meet-and-greet.
At least one week. The first time includes an online meet-and-greet, so please contact us early.
Cancellation fees are the same whatever the reason: ¥20,000 within 24 hours (Standard). The caregiver adjusts their sleep from the day before and cannot take other work that day. Cancellation fees go entirely to the caregiver, not to us. No medical certificate is needed.
Not always. Whoever comes receives what you decided (feeding, when to wake you) and the records of earlier nights.
Please ask. If you cover actual travel costs and we can arrange a caregiver, we can accept. Tell us the dates and place and we will check.
Night Nanny Luna is a night-only service. For daytime help with childcare and meals, we can arrange a postpartum therapist (a separate home-visit service).
